The Blackthorne integration in OM 5.805 Enterprise has been working well for us. The piece I am missing is that the eBay listing IDs are not getting imported into OM orders. OM is creating a new 3 digit web id, prefixed with an 'S'.

It would be very helpful to have the ability to look up orders by eBay listing ID in OM. Is this possible? What steps can I take to make this happen?

Thank you!
Tim

That's from Blackthorne, actually. It's the BT "sale ID" ("S" for "sale").

At View Orders, click Search, click on the "Additional search fields" tab, and enter the listing # under "eBay Auction ID". If that doesn't find it, please let the support folks know so we can take a look.

Thanks for the fast reply!

In my version, the field is called "Ext. Auction ID", but it does find the eBay orders. Thank you for the help!

That field searches the eBay Item number.

coskevin, thanks for that, I was beating my head against the wall trying to us that to find by ebay id.
That would work MUCH better for us as we sell many items with 1000 of the same item number, and we want to find a particular order. Ebayers often only know their ID, and even if we get the auction number, that only gives us everyone that purchased that item.

Yes, ebay user ID would be a great addition. Usually, we go in blackthorne, look it up by user ID, then copy the email address, and search in stone edge. Would be MUCH easier if it had the user ID already imported into stone edge.

That's exactly what we do, very time consuming. I alwys find it odd when we do a post like this and no one comments, like we're the only one with the issue. I would sure like to see this in the next upgrade.

I have passed your request on to Mark Setzer, the programmer who handles our eBay integration. I'm afraid he's down with the flu, but I will ask him to look into this once he gets back to work.

We would also like this feature added, being able to search by Ebay userid would be a big help. Has there been any progress on this yet?

In case it helps anyone we've made a temporary hack that seems to be working ok. In the System Parameters we set the CustomerTextField1 Parameter Text to be EbayUserName. We then created an update query that took the Ebay User ID from the Buyers table in Blackthorne and updated the Text1 field in Stone Edge's Customers table to equal that. The query linked the tables based on the email address.

We also added the query to a macro we run after we process our orders in the morning so it will update after we've pulled the Ebay orders for the day into Stone Edge. We set the query to only update where the Text1 field is Null so it won't reupdate every Ebay customers user id every day.

Now we can search by Ebay userid in the View Customers form in the Custom Fields tab, or from the Orders search under the Custom Order, Customer & Inventory Fields tab.

funny you do that lukiegames. I do the same thing but put it in notes or comments. I include eBay order ID (the thing that starts with S, eBay buyer id, buyer e-mail, and ebay item number). When the shipment e-mail goes out this information is included. When I search e-mails on any of these, the shipment notice will have it making it easier to look up order details.
